With two high-end shopping centers and a plethora of hiking, biking and horseback riding trails, along with several parks and open spaces, Corte Madera exemplifies the outdoor lifestyle of Northern California without sacrificing the luxury of San Francisco and the Bay Area. While a small town of only 9,000 residents, Corte Madera is centrally located near the cities of San Rafael and San Francisco and has a multitude of art, culture and dining opportunities.

It doesn’t matter if you’re a golfer, hiker, biker or just want to relax, this town has more sunny days than not, allowing you to get out and see those parks. Ring Mountain is an especially good place to go when in the area. With its unique weather and geological features, it is home to plant life that does not exist anywhere else on the planet. The nice weather also makes the weekly farmers market a great destination. Located in Town Center, you can stroll the booths while exploring the rest of the area.

There are a variety of rental car services for you to choose from in the area.

No matter what time of year you plan on visiting Corte Madera, there will be plenty for you to do. The farmers market runs year long and there are plenty of activities. If you’re visiting in the fall, make sure to come during Oktoberfest, a fun festival that is great for the entire family.
