Corte Madera Schools

While Corte Madera is a small town in Marin County, it provides residents with many benefits. Just outside of San Francisco’s foggy reach but only a short drive away, the town is known for its good home values, high quality of life and strong emphasis on education. With double the average percentage of residents older than 25 holding bachelor’s degrees and higher, the town realizes the importance of education for children, a fact that can be seen in the schools Academic Performance Index ratings. On a scale of one to 10, Corte Madera public schools, as a whole, receive a nine, with Neil Cummins Elementary School receiving the highest rating in the town.

In Corte Madera, there are three traditional public schools to serve students, as well as two alternative high schools. In addition, Corte Madera is home to some of the best private campuses in the county. The town is served by two public school districts: the Larkspur School District and Tamalpais Union High School District. The Larkspur School District covers Corte Madera’s elementary school and middle school, while the high school is covered by the Tamalpais Union High School District, which also includes Redwood High School in Larkspur.

The Larkspur School District is a small one that only serves Corte Madera and the neighboring town of Larkspur. The district is in charge of more than 1,000 students and has two award-winning schools.

The Tamalpais Union High School District provides its students with secondary school education. With students that come to it from ten of Marin County’s separate elementary districts, it includes three high schools, which are all California Distinguished Schools. It also has two alternative high schools.

Corte Madera is also served by the Reed Union School District, which covers a slight portion of the east part of town.
